Hey there! I’m Christopher Begley! As I always say, the creative industry is one big, often dysfunctional family, but a family nonetheless. We each hone in various skills and hopefully learn with what works.
A little about me. I have lived in many towns and cities all across Northern and Southern California. I’ve worked in many industries including hospitality. You can watch some of my tutorial videos regarding bar and event management HERE:
After a few projects as a writer, director, editor, and producer, working directly with the actors, I decided to build up a small independent studio as so I can have a greater control over the scene itself, not just the talent or script. I believe it is vital to gain an understanding of different roles of filmmaking and not just one. I even dabbled in videography, photography, sound recording, music scoring, and 3D animation. I encourage filmmakers to see what works and what does not to advance his/her career.
Filmmaking is not for everyone nor the faint of heart. Not every project goes as planned. PATIENCE and FLEXIBILITY are key. Plan ahead your BUDGET as it can get expensive especially if ill-planned. As someone who coordinated high-profile events and weddings, TIME MANAGEMENT is so important. Lastly and most important, TRUST in your team that you developed. Without these key components, your vision will flop. With each new project, endeavor, and challenge, we improve as creators and we build our community. After all, we are one, big, happy filmmaking family–well, most of the time 🙂
